National Contact Point for Knowledge Transfer and Intellectual Property

Intellectual Property Agreement Guide – IPAG

The exchange of knowledge and technology between universities and businesses often requires complex contractual arrangements. In order to make the technology transfer process efficient and legally compliant, university representatives have developed the Intellectual Property Agreement Guide - IPAG together with experts from industry, research institutions and ministrie.

The IPAG provides public online access to standard model contracts for technology transfer (in German and English) free of charge. The contract samples were drawn up by the NCP-IP in cooperation with universities, non-university research institutions, industrial companies and SMEs. They cover all areas of cooperation between research institutions and companies (e.g. licence agreements, material transfer agreements, patent purchase agreements and research and development agreements) that are relevant to technology transfer, and they are continuously developed and updated. They are available for download at www.ipag.at.
